This Influencer Apologized After Saying 'Heterophobia' Is a Thing
YouTube and TikTok star Bryce Hall is coming under fire for a tweet about "heterophobia."
So apparently, there are people out there who think "heterophobia" is an actual thing...
I know that sounds like a big, cruel joke, but we kid you not. Such was the case with influencer and content creator Bryce Hall, who tried to equate people making fun of the straight sector of popular video app TikTok to homophobia, suggesting that "heterophobia" is on the rise.
"What is 'straight' TikTok and why does everyone hate it? I'm confused," Hall wrote in a now-deleted tweet that, thanks to the internet, still lives on in screenshots. "We are on the cusp of ending homophobia and now we’re introducing heterophobia? What the f--- is 2020."

As expected, people were rightfully upset at the mere suggestion of thinking "heterophobia" is even a real thing. (It's not.)

Fortunately, though, it looks like Hall is taking all the criticism in stride and apologizing for his tweet.

"That tweet was insensitive and obviously I'm not cultured on it and I shouldn’t have spoken," Hall said, apologizing in a follow-up tweet. "I'm a dumb s--- and I don’t think before I speak and I'm sure all of you know this by now. Again, I'm super sorry for offending anyone and I promise it won’t happen again."
Hopefully, it won't!
