Patricia Arquette Tributes Trans Sister Alexis in Her Emmys Speech

"I'm so sad I lost my sister Alexis and that trans people are still being persecuted. Let's get rid of this bias that we have everywhere."

Orange Is the New Black's Laverne Cox wasn't the only celeb at this year's Primetime Emmys to use their platform to talk about trans rights! During her acceptance speech, legendary actress Patricia Arquette used her speech to speak about transgender issues and give an emotional tribute to her late sister, trans actress Alexis.

"I'm so sad I lost my sister Alexis and that trans people are still being persecuted," she said. "Let's get rid of this bias that we have everywhere."

"I'm in mourning every day, and I will be the rest of my life for you until we change the world so that trans people are not persecuted," she also said. "Give them jobs. They're human beings."

Now THAT'S how you use your platform for good!
