Julianne Moore Takes On Palin for HBO

Julianne Moore has been cast as controversial former Alaska governor Sarah Palin in the HBO drama Game Change. Moore, who supported Obama during the 2008 Presidential election and who was most recently in movie theaters as a lesbian mother in The Kids Are All Right and an ardent advocate for same-sex marriage will be playing way against type.

Moore, who supported Obama during the 2008 Presidential election and who was most recently in movie theaters as a lesbian mother in The Kids Are All Right and an ardent advocate for same-sex marriage will be playing way against type. Game Change is an adaptation of the book by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann which documented the 2008 Presidential elections and follows John McCain’s presidential campaign, from Palin being selected as his running mate to their eventual defeat in the general election. The film will be directed by Jay Roache, who helmed the first two Austin Powers movies.
