The Real Housewives of Potomac are back for a lucky seventh season!

Candiace Dillard-Bassett is shifting her role in the group this go-around, as she seemingly forms a potential alliance with frienenemy Ashley Darby.

"We're not ever sitting in one place calm, collected, and cool. I have never denied that Ashley is a fun girl. Ashley brought me onto the show. She introduced me to the group, so it was always odd to me that there was never any loyalty there. I take loyalty to friends very seriously, so to not have that be the trajectory for Ashley and I was strange for me. So to have a moment in time where we can be friendly and be calm and enjoy each other's company, it was wonderful," Bassett tells PRIDE.

"Part of what has been a hiccup for Candiace and I is the way she feels about [my husband] Michael. She has never been one to hold back her opinion about him. We had a great time at Fashion Week last year. Things were so great with us, so our relationship is still gliding on that," Darby tells PRIDE.

Talking about the husband, Darby also revealed her struggles with her marriage. She teases a divorce in the show's trailer, but it looks like that might not be the case.

"I wish that I had a clear-cut, cookie-cutter answer. Unfortunately, it's murky. It's not as though I have all of the answers right now. We are legally still married. It's just less of a headache to pursue that avenue," Darby said.

The Darby's aren't the only complicated relationship heading into the new season. Bassett is drawing a line with fellow co-star Gizelle Bryant, after Bryant hinted that Bassett's husband acted inappropriately toward her at the season six reunion.

"When you don't have your own family, your own story, your own personal business to tend to, she has to do whatever she needs to, to hold onto this check. What else is bringing in income? Don't nobody want to buy the book. I don't know what the podcast is doing... I hope it's doing well. The last time I was at her house, it was still in ruins. She needs money to pay for that, she needs money to support her children, she needs money to put more tacky stuff in her house. There's a lot that she has to pay for and when you're in dire straits such as those, you will do and say whatever to keep the checks coming in," Basset said.

The tea is hot up in here! The Real Housewives of Potomac premieres Sunday, October 9th, on Bravo.
