A Kid Bullied for Having Two Moms Got the Most Heartwarming Letter

Nicholas is a 7 year-old boy who lives in Melbourne, Australia with his two moms, Katherine Jorgensen and Roanne Blackler.

"He is known in the school as the kid with two mums," Katherine Jorgensen told BuzzFeed News. "We seem to be the only rainbow family in the school."

"Most of the time, it’s pretty fine,” Katherine continued, "but apparently what happened is that these kids were saying something around him, within his earshot, and looking at him. 'That’s the kid with two mums, it’s not a real family. He’s got two mums.'"

Nicholas heard this just a few days after Australia embarked on a nationwide postal survey about same-sex marriage.

Australians eligible and registered to vote will be asked the question: Should the law be changed to allow same-sex couples to marry?

It’s not clear exactly how the results will impact the national decision. There’s debate over how much of the population would need to respond in order to the make result legitimate.

Nicholas’ mothers rightfully worried that the vote would cause more bullying and trouble for their son.

Then Nicholas received a beautiful and heartwarming letter from his godmother that will give you hope for the future.

Makes you wish you had your own fairy godmother, doesn't it?
