NBC on SheWired: Another Bullying Suicide? - Video

Corey Jackson, a 19 year old sophomore at Oakland University, committed suicide. His family says he complained about being bullied after coming out as gay. 

Jackson lived on campus and recently came out to friends and family. He told his grandmother and aunt that he had been struggling with harassment ever since coming out, and that everyone treated him differently and he did not know what to do or where he belonged. His sister said that he knew about the rumors people were spreading about him regarding his sexuality. 

His death is still being investigated, but the Oakland County medical examiner has confirmed that Jackson took his own life. 

A candlelit vigil will be held tonight in Jackson's honor on the university campus.
