Boyle was interviewed in NBC’s Today show this week where Matt Lauer admitted to watching her YouTube clip about 12 or 14 times.
The 47-year-old Boyle admitted on the show she’d never been kissed and when cohost Merefith Viera asked if that had changed with her fame, Boyle played coy and stuck to, “no comment.”
The humble singer said the worldwide recognition “hasn’t sunk in yet.”
Boyle, an unemployed charity worker who lives with her cat, Pebbles, had cared for her ailing mother until her recent death.
Time will tell if Boyle wins the British reality show which judge Simon Cowell promises is packing heavy competition. "There are some acts that you haven't seen yet, it's not quite the one-horse race you are going to think this is… I think we've got to treat it as it is, which is a competition."
