Drag Queens React to Romney's 7 Shadiest Trump Critiques
Mitt Romney came out of retirement today and showed Republicans how to take Donald Trump to the political library for a reading. What follows are his most pointed, most amazing, jabs at the Trump persona.
Romney is trying to convince Republicans to stop voting for Trump in the primary, and he’s calling on voters to back whichever candidate has the best chance to win in each state. So, Sen. Marco Rubio should win Florida. And, Governor John Kasich should win Ohio. And so on, Romney says. Can he stop Trump?
Here are the shadiest moments from Romney's speech:
Romney: "[Trump's] promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University."
Romney: "Here's what I know. Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud."
Romney: "But wait, you say, isn't he a huge business success that knows what he's talking about? No he isn't, and no he doesn't."
Romney: "Whatever happened to Trump Airlines? How about Trump University? And then there's Trump Magazine and Trump Vodka and Trump Steaks, and Trump Mortgage? A business genius he is not."
Romney: "He said he saw thousands of Muslims in New Jersey celebrating 9/11. Wrong, he saw no such thing. He imagined it."
Romney: "We have long referred to him as 'The Donald.' He is the only person in America to whom we have added an article before his name. It wasn't because he had attributes we admired."
Romney: "He's playing the American public for suckers: He gets a free ride to the White House and all we get is a lousy hat."
