Here's Your Pride 2020 Gift Guide
Who's ready for some Pride merch?!
Pride Month festivities may have been canceled or postponed all around the country, but we can still celebrate the LGBTQ+ community from a socially acceptable distance! So many brands are honoring the community, spreading awareness, and putting their money where their mouth is this June, so we've put together a gift guide of just a few in case you wanted to send your loved ones something special this month—or if you just want to splurge on yourself!
Ruthie Davis
Shoe retailer Ruthie Davis just launched some genderfluid, Pride-themed designs: The Pride Pump and Rainbow Jogger (coming June 1)! Priced from $400-$550, 20 percent of the sales will be donated to the LGBT Community Center of New York City.
Alt Pronouns
Alt Pronouns is a gender free brand, not just a fashion label, featuring some of our favorite Pride Month clothing designs. Last year, Alt Pronouns partnered with SAGE, the National Center for Transgender Equality Action Fund, The Trevor Project, and The Ali Forney Center and donated 10 percent of proceeds from their Pride collection to help support their missions.
Skittles
Only #OneRainbow matters this Pride month! Skittles has given up its rainbow through the end of June to support and celebrate the LGBTQ community. For every bag of the colorless packs purchased, the US campaign is donating $1 to GLAAD, the world's leading LGBTQ media advocacy group, up to $100k. You can buy them at CVS and select Walmart locations nationwide.
Morphe
For this year's Pride Month festivities, popular beauty brand Morphe launched their rainbow-colored, limited-edition Free to Be collection (an eyeshadow palette, a brush set, lip gloss, and setting mist), with 100 percent of the net proceeds from sales (a minimum of $50,000) being donated to GLSEN!
Happy Socks x The Phluid Project
Happy Socks x The Phluid Project have teamed up for a collection of Pride-themed socks! Priced at $16 or select packs for $28, 10 percent of net sales are being donated to The Trevor Project, the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ young people.
Bliss
Beauty brand Bliss has announced that 100 percent of net proceeds from the complete collection of their Makeup Melt Wipes will be donated to The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ youth. Their Pride-themed wipes will be available to purchase on June 1 for $7.
Eureka Heights
With the announcement of it's new Lavender Bunny beer, Eureka Heights taproom is giving two dollars to the Montrose Center—Houston’s LGBTQ+ resource organization—for every four-pack sold. If you're in Houston, stop by the taproom's drive-thru at 941 W. 18th Street to support the local LGBTQ+ community!
Harry’s
Harry's is now offering a limited edition Shave with Pride set designed by José Roda. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to The Trevor Project, the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for young LGBTQ+ people. You can buy the Shave with Pride Pride set for $25 and Shave with Pride handle for $20.
Levi’s
Levi's just launched a new collection of Pride-themed graphic tees, trucker jackets, tanks, shorts, and accessories. 100 percent of the net proceeds from the collection will be donated to OutRight Action International, an organization that has worked to advance LGBTQ+ rights all around the world for three decades.
Omnom Chocolate
Omnom offers an award-winning milk chocolate caramel bar that was originally created as a limited batch to bring awareness to Pride. It became so popular that they now offer it year-round! (Lucky us!!) Omnom has been an official sponsor of Reykjavik Pride in Iceland since 2017 and this year, Omnom is bringing back a UNI-T shirt for Pride month, "made with love and 100 percent organic cotton."
ROAM Luggage
Create your own unique custom luggage with ROAM, the world's first and only fully color-customizable premium luggage brand. Customization allows you to pick the colors of the handle, wheels, stitching and more, just in time for Pride Month!
Pharaoun
Ring brand Pharaoun is donating 100 percent of the purchase price from their We Are Beautiful ring ($155-$145) to SONG, the home for LGBTQ+ liberation across all lines of race, class, abilities, age, culture, gender, and sexuality in the South. SONG builds, sustains, and connects a southern regional base of LBGTQ+ people in order to transform the region through strategic projects and campaigns developed in response to the current conditions in our communities.
Dockers
Dockers is "Always Proud" in their 2020 Pride campaign! Their 3-piece collection features three unisex styles: a tank top, a t-shirt, and rip-stop cotton drawstring shorts in a fun, purple tie-dye print. Available May 27, Dockers is making a donation to the Stonewall Community Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses on strengthening the LGBTQ+ community by making smart, values-driven investments in dynamic organizations, projects, and leaders within New York City.
Converse Pride Collection
Converse, who's donated over $1 million to local and global LGBTQIA+ organizations over the last five years, is celebrating Pride with it's 2020 collection of sneakers. Benefits will go to the It Gets Better Project [IGBP], Ali Forney Center, BAGLY and OUT MetroWest.
The Converse Pride Collection releases globally May 29.
Nike BeTrue 2020 Collection
Inspired by the LGBTQIA+ and allied community, the 2020 BeTrue collection includes the Nike Air Force 1, the Nike Air Max 2090 and the Nike Air Deschutz. On the Air Force 1s, Nike even updated the rainbow to include black and brown stripes to recognize people of color in the LGBTQIA+ community.
NIKE is supporting the community by giving grants to more than 20 organizations advancing the LGBTQIA+ community, administered by the Charities Aid Foundation of America. "These national and regional organizations focus on advocacy in sports, creating safe spaces and elevating the history of the community," they said in a statement.
The Nike BeTrue Collection releases June 5 throughout Greater China and June 19 globally.
Under Armour
Under Armour's 2020 Pride Collection includes boys' and girls' tops, women’s and men’s tops and bottoms, hats, headbands, and backpacks. This year, the fitness brand is giving back to the LGBTQ+ community through the UA PRIDE Grant Program, "which seeks to alleviate financial hardships that have fallen upon LGBTQ+ community-focused non-profits due to COVID-19, in areas local to UA teammates (Baltimore, MD and Austin, TX). Eligible organizations who are facing a budget crisis can apply for a one-time grant ranging between $2,500-$15,000 on the UA PRIDE Grant Program website. The application deadline is Wednesday, June 10. Awards will be announced on Wednesday, June 24 and grants will be awarded on Wednesday, July 15."
Shea Coul-Alé
She's here, she’s queer, and she’s a beer! Goose Island Beer Co. has launched a limited-edition Pride beer with RuPaul's Drag Race all-star Shea Coulee!
Described as unfiltered dry-hopped wheat ale that’s extra lemony and bright, it's part of Goose Island's "Drag A Beer" campaign partnership with DoStuffMedia. A portion of the profits from the beer will go towards Coulee's charity of choice, TransTech Social Enterprises, an organization dedicated to giving trans folks the vocational training and job placement they need to get a headstart in the workforce.
The Shea Coul-Alé has been available for pre-order since June 3, but delivery and to-go options launch June 10 (while supplies last) at Clybourn Brewhouse, Fulton Taproom, Philly Brewhouse, and Replay in Andersonville.
Skullcandy Earbuds
Skullcandy has launched a multi-colored "Original" edition of their Sesh earbuds alongside exclusive merch drops and never-before-seen artwork from NYC-based muralist, typographer, and designer Queen Andrea—a bundle exclusively available through the month of June. The release is the third part of the Mood Boost campaign, Skullcandy's new initiative to bring positivity in response to the growing mental health crisis among Millennials and Generation Z.
Proceeds from this limited edition line will benefit To Write Love on Her Arms, a non-profit organization that aims to present hope for youths struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.
The earbuds are available to purchase on Skullcandy.com on June 10.
K-Swiss Pride Edition Sneaker
K-Swiss teamed up with the NOH8 Campaign to celebrate Pride in style! The limited-edition sneaker reimagines the classic VN sneaker with all of the colors of the rainbow and "ALL [heart emoji] NOH8" imprinted on the soles. K-Swiss will be donating a portion of sales directly to the NOH8 Campaign, a charitable organization whose mission is to promote marriage, gender and human equality through education, advocacy, social media, and visual protest. The sneakers are available for purchase on their website.
