New 'Smash' Promo: Katherine McPhee, A Sheet, a Bed and 'Touch Me' - Video

New 'Smash' Promo: Katherine McPhee, A Sheet, a Bed and 'Touch Me' - Video

NBC’s Smash is a terrific blend of that old Broadway “lets put on a show” sensibility and hot talent that stars American Idol runner-up Katherine McPhee as the fresh-faced newcomer poised to topple the Broadway vet, played by Megan Hilty (Wicked, 9 to 5: The Musical) who are vying for the starring role in Marilyn: The Musical. Lesbian fans who demand more than a sexy girl singing on a bed the number is laden with metaphors as bars are erected around the bed and Karen is trapped in the little world that her dreams were once made of. We can do a dissertation later but for now here’s “Touch Me.”

For McPhee fans there’s a new promo for the show for your viewing pleasure. It features McPhee’s Karen Cartwright singing “Touch Me” on a bed while wrapped in a sheet. For viewers who demand more than a sexy girl singing on a bed the number is laden with metaphors as bars are erected around the bed and Karen is trapped in the little world that her dreams were once made of.  We can do a dissertation later but for now here’s “Touch Me.”
