Hannah Alper is a 10-year-old Candanian environmental activist with an impressively prolific blog. Recently, she interviewed none other than out musician Amy Ray, one half of the iconic Indigo Girls.
In the surprisingly extensive interview, Alper grills Ray on her feelings about Matthew Shepard, going green while touring, and tips for aspiring musicians. Then Alper launches into a series of rapid-fire questions, including Ray's favorite word, season, subject in school, and her favorite song to perform. Alper also delves into Ray's psyche to discover that Ray thinks high school students have a "Really positive outlook on life." Alper sounds surprised by the response, and I don't blame her — I was anything but optimistic and positive when I was in high school.
