WATCH: New, Now, Next Awards Host Aisha Tyler Chokes Up Introducing Same-Sex Military Couples

The New, Now, Next Awards aired last night on Logo, and during one particularly moving segment, host Aisha Tyler (The Talk) couldn’t help but choke up as she introduced a same-sex military couple that married on the stroke of midnight when DADT was repealed. She thanked pioneering LGBT military members who’re blazing trails with for others with their fearlessness.

“The fight for marriage equality is a fight for civil rights and it’s a fight that affects us all,” Tyler said.
