What Has Quarantine Life Been Like for Gay Adult Actors?

COVID-19 has put a pause on most of the world this year, and the adult entertainment industry is no exception. Though the professional production of adult films has been indefinitely put on hold because of quarantine and social isolation efforts, porn consumption has risen, so what's an adult actor to do in times like these where demand still needs to be met?

That's what comedian and actor Jimmy Fowlie explores in his latest sketch starring his newest character Nikki Spitz, a gay porn star who is trying to figure out how to navigate the world of adult entertainment while staying safe and healthy at home.

"I did what a lot of performers did: I tried to make an OnlyFans," Spitz, who has a thing for being spat on and ridiculed by his sexual partners, said about his own solutions to the growing demand for mature entertainment. "But for me, I thrive off people. And you can't really humiliate yourself."

Though times are rough, and the temptation to meet up with people during quarantine is always there (especially if you haven't had contact with others in a long, long time) Spitz wants you to know he is also a socially responsible performer. When desperately trying to be persuaded to film an IRL scene with another adult actor named Marty, Nikki lets him know that's incredibly dangerous, since a lot of those affected by COVID-19 are asymptomatic and unknowingly transmitting the virus to others.

"Just because I'm willing to take a bunch of loads to the face, doesn't mean I want to carry a virus asymptomatically and give it someone who could die!" he explains.

Bravo, Nikki!
