7 Reasons to Get Excited AF for Fall

After a long (and hot as hell) summer, it's officially the time of year we've all been waiting for: FALL!!!

Rather than lament that summer is gone, you should be looking forward to autumn — especially as a queer person! There are SO MANY reasons why fall is literally the best time of year!!

1. The fashion

There’s nothing wrong with a good tank top, but wearing tanks every day gets a little...boring, don’t you think? During fall, you can spice up your wardrobe. Bust out some sweaters, jackets, jeans, skirts, and so much more.

2. The outdoors looks so cute

There are so many more cute (socially-distant) outdoor activities you can do in the fall. While there’s obviously nothing inherently gay about apple picking, I swear to God, I felt like the biggest queer of my life when my last boyfriend and I went to an orchard. It was so cute and so much fun! 

3. Halloween (aka "Gay Christmas")

Also known as "Gay Christmas," Halloween is a favorite day among the gays. It may be a little different this year, but it's the one day of the year we can be as over-the-top and ridiculous as we want, sans judgment. God only knows how much we love to get all dressed up!

4. You can stop caring about having the perfect "beach bod"

Tired of feeling self-conscious? Does it seem like every other single gay guy has a six-pack while you’re just like, a healthy, normal-looking dude? Fear no longer, because the Speedos and the abs are being put away. Drink all the pumpkin spice lattes you want without worrying about sugar and calories!

5. Cuddle weather

It’s too hot to cuddle in the summer. But in the fall, on those brisk October nights, you can cozy on up with your man or woman.

6. All the good TV series resume

So many shows go on a hiatus during the summer, but after Labor Day, they all return. Netflix has changed the game with this by releasing entire seasons of shows whenever they damn well please, but nevertheless, there are still a ton of great shows that start in the fall.

7. Boots

Okay, so I know this falls under the fashion category a little bit, but I feel like boots deserve their own separate reason. In the summer you can’t wear boots—it’s simply too hot. Now though, you can finally whip out those nice leather bad boys you’ve been hiding away in your closet for the past 14 weeks!
