NFL Star Carl Nassib Has a Boyfriend, Olympic Swimmer Søren Dahl

Out NFL star Carl Nassib has confirmed his relationship with Søren Dahl in an adorable Instagram post.
Nassib originally the photo in question on his Instagram story with the caption, “Kicking off 2023 with my man and a trip to the playoffs.” The two have their arms around one another at what looks like a tailgate, and Dahl is wearing Nassib's Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey number.
Dahl later shared the photo to his Instagram grid. "Always Big Boy Season," he wrote, referencing the recently viral SNL track featuring SZA.
While the two have been posting adorable photos of each other on social media, this is the first time they've confirmed their relationship in this explicit manner. Though neither has spoken to the press about their relationship, it seems like they began dating sometime in 2021 or 2022.
Dahl is a 29-year-old Danish swimmer who competed in the 2016 Rio Olympics in the men’s 4 × 200-meter freestyle relay event. His team finished 12th and set a national record for Denmark. He reportedly moved to Fort Worth, Texas to get his master's degree in Strategic Communication at Texas Christian University. After graduating in 2020, Dahl moved to New York City.

In 2021, Nassib became the first active NFL player to come out as gay. Since then, he has become an important voice in the fight to end discrimination against LGBTQ+ folks in sports.
