Omar Apollo Had the Funniest Response to Queerbaiting Accusation

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Omar Apollo wants you to know that does indeed engage in sexual relations with men!

The "Evergreen" singer has had quite a year. He dropped his debut studio album Ivory in April, performed at Coachella and Austin City Limits, went viral on TikTok, landed his first Billboard Hot 100 hit song, and has been nominated for a Best New Artist Grammy.

With the surge of new fans comes the natural inquiries into his life. Apollo sings love and breakup songs on his album, but one fan still wasn't quite sure about his sexuality.

"Is Omar Apollo another queerbaiting singer?" the fan tweeted. "Like those type 'i don't label myself let me wear cropped and paint my nails and I say I find another guy hot' cuz I like his song but I don't like supporting straight men doing queerbaiting."

If we've learned anything from Kit Connor's outing in Heartstopper-Gate, queerbaiting can be much more complicated when you're applying it to real-life people, but Apollo answered the inquiry in the best way possible.
