RuPaul's Drag Race stars Trixie Mattel and Katya have blessed their fans with a reaction to Netflix's hit LGBTQ+ series Heartstopper.

The YA drama premiered in April and garnered international attention and popularity yet somehow, someway, the two drag queens have yet to watch the series – despite months of pleading from fans.

"Frankly when it comes to watching high schoolers have sex, I'm about the end of my f*cking rope," says Mattell.

Katya chimes in, "I thought this was a sequel to Flatliners with Julia Roberts and Kiefer Sutherland but I believe that that is not the case."

Despite her disdain for high school dramas, Mattel is happy to watch this over another beloved Netflix franchise. "What I didn't want was to watch another Princess Switch movie, so I'm cool.

Katya says this one is for the fans. "It's a gift to you, the fans, but it's really a regift to ourselves because we love to enrich and fortify our gayness through the trials and tribulations of youngsters in Britain."

As the two settle in for the watch, series stars Joe Locke and Kit Connor gave Trixie and Katya a personal message thanking them for reacting the show. "Please do not hold back," Locke instructed. "Do your worst." Mattel then recalls Locke asking the two to "rip them to shreds" on Twitter.

They press play, and Trixie and Katya quickly fall in love with the series, just like we all did.

"What a wonderful palate cleanser from Euphoria," Katya points out.

Heartstopper's second season is currently in post-production stages, has confirmed three new cast members, and is currently slated to premiere sometime in 2023. We're waiting with bated breath.
