The third and final season of The Owl House will conclude the series with three special episodes, all with longer airtime.

The first special episode of season three, “Thanks to Them,” aired back in October 2022. Now, the Disney Channel is set to air the second special episode of the season, “For the Future,” on January 21.

This new episode will feature Luz and friends opening up a portal to the Demon realm. Against all odds, they must face a childish demigod that has been turning everyone into obeying minions. In order to save the realm, this chaotic and powerful kid must to be defeated.

The plot of “For the Future” must also set up the series for episode three of the third season, which will be the very last episode of the entire The Owl House series. That upcoming series finale, titled “Watching and Dreaming,” will also be a longer, special episode. However, the release date for “Watching and Dreaming” hasn’t yet been revealed.

Fans are understandably disappointed that such an LGBTQ-inclusive animated series like The Owl House is already coming to an end after only three seasons. With that said, at least the show is going out with a bang and is having the opportunity to conclude its storyline with three special episodes that are being properly spaced out and marketed.

We can’t wait to watch “For the Future,” and we’re already looking forward to “Watching and Dreaming”!

The Owl House season three episode two premieres January 21 on the Disney Channel.
