Dry spells happen. It doesn’t matter how confident, attractive or funny you are. At some point in your life, you’ll find yourself in a major drought. It happens to the best of us, but there’s no need to get discouraged. Here are some tips to help you break your dry spell and get back in the dating game.
1. Make an effort to meet new people
This may come across as obvious, but are you actually putting yourself out there? Are you working 70-hour weeks and spending most nights in bed watching Broad City? If so, there's just no way you're going to be able to break your dry spell.
2. Be open and smile
Strangers talk to you when you look friendly. Show off those pearly whites. No one is going to talk to you if you’re wearing bulky headphones and you look pissed.
3. Don’t immediately dismiss people
Try not to think he’s too this or too that. Give people a chance. Who knows? They might surprise you.
4. Say hello
Don’t wait for people to talk to you. It’s time you made the first move.
5. Start working out
First of all; the gym is a great place to meet people. Second; you’ll have more energy (thank you endorphins) and feel more confident after exercising.
6. Dating Apps
We know, OkCupid can be the absolute worst, but it’s not all bad. There are some genuinely good people out there. It may take some time to find him, but you could eventually find Mr. Right.
7. Go out with your crew
No reason why you have to solve this problem alone. Hit up the club with some friends who boost your confidence and introduce you to new people.
8. Hook-up Apps
Grindr exists for a reason, and your dry spell is that reason.
