A graduate student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania alleges that her professor bullied her because she is a lesbian, according to CBS News.
“I felt attacked, bullied and singled out,” Christina Santiago tells CBS News after one of her professors at the business school went on a rant about homosexuality in the classroom.
“Homosexuals are disgusting, unnatural and abnormal,” the professor told the class, according to Santiago.
Santiago says her heart began to race as the professor began to spout his homophobic remarks, but that didn’t stop her from raising her hand and asking, “So are you saying that students like myself who identify as homosexual are disgusting, unnatural and abnormal?” to which the professor responded, “yes.”
But that didn’t stop the professor from continuing with homophobic remarks in class citing that God made “Adam and Eve not Adam and Adam.” The instructor then complained about diversity training programs and accused Santiago of forcing her homosexuality on her, according to Santiago.
There is an ongoing investigation into the allegations.
