In Bon Appétit's latest episode of Side-by-Side Chef, pop sensation Troye Sivan attempts to make Japanese soufflé pancakes via instructions from professional chef Carla Lalli Music over a Zoom call.
It might be breakfast time in Melbourne, Australia where Sivan is hunkered down, but it's 9pm in New York City. Good thing pancakes are delicious at any time of day!
Sivan does surprisingly well in the video, making only menial mistakes along the way to the final product. He adorably tries to zest a lemon and excitedly unveils the brand new electric mixer he bought specifically for this meal. The video is so cute, and Sivan's pancakes come out so thick and fluffy!
"It's literally magical," he says as they compare their plates. "I don't want to brag but they do look exactly the same."
