Find me someone who watches RuPaul's Drag Race who doesn't like Latrice Royale. You can’t. It is physically impossible. Latrice has always been a fan favorite, hence why she was voted Miss Congeniality in season 4. Now, she’s a full-on drag legend.

This week marks a special 10-year anniversary for the season 4 and All Stars alum. 10 years ago, she was released from prison after serving 18 months for a felony. For the occasion, she posted this heartfelt message to Instagram.

Not only did Latrice open up about serving time when she on the show, but in 2015, she was actually also part of Logo’s original documentary, Gays in Prison. (Here’s a snippet:)

When the documentary was released, Latrice told the The Albuquerque Journal, "I’ve always been one to learn from all my experiences. Each day starts with possibilities and it’s up to us to take them. I’m always giving advice but it has to be a two-way street. I can’t save everybody."

She continued:

"The show [Drag Race] opened up my world to new possibilities. I’m living my dream right now and it couldn’t be better."
