Masterchef Winner Proposes to Boyfriend After His Win
Definitely the happiest day of his life.
Masterchef always ends in joy for the winning contestant, but the latest iteration of the Italian version of the show ended with a little something extra.
Antonio Lorenzon blew the judges away with his cooking throughout the season, and when the time came for him to take home the top prize, he wanted to share his special moment with the person who means the most to him.
“Guys, what better occasion to thank you. For being close to me, for friendship, but this is a very special day for me because it is a glory that I have received,” he said to the crowd, according to a translation by PinkNews.
“I want to convey to a person who in life believed in me and made me the person I am, and I want this moment to be a special moment.”
Even before Lorenzon crouched down on the floor and popped open a ring box, those gathered began to cheer. And when the moment came, his boyfriend, Daniel, was clearly all too ready to spend the rest of his life with a Masterchef winner.
Even for those of us who don't know Italian, the emotional current running through this moment easily carries across the language barrier. It was a doubly happy day for Antonio, and for the man who pushed him to join the show and be his best, Daniel.
