WATCH: Ellen Page Still Trying to Get Lesbian Film 'Freeheld' Made

Ellen Page continues to be one of Hollywood’s busiest performers, with The East currently in theaters and another X-Men installment coming out next year, but she’s still lobbying for her passion project Freeheld, a fact-based film about a terminally ill New Jersey police officer’s efforts to leave her pension benefits to her wife. 

“Freeheld is something that I really hope is going to come together soon,” Page says in a far-ranging video interview with Collider. She also talks about The East, X-Men: Days of Future Past, political activism, and her outspokenness on Twitter.
