WATCH: Steve Harvey Miss-Crowns Miss Universe and It's Painfully Awkward

To be fair, the universe is really quite vast, so crowning one person "Miss" of it all must be a pretty daunting task. Unfortunately, Steve Harvey demonstrated just how daunting it is when he announced the wrong one and only corrected his mistake after Miss Colombia had been crowned instead of Miss Philippines. Cue the cringing, the awkward de-crowning, and the endless tweets about the many levels of wrong the whole incident was. Watch the painful mistake come to light right here:

Hey,  at least coming in first runner up of the entire universe is still a pretty big accomplishment! And while we respect those who are involved with pageants, here's a tweet to put a couple things into perspective:

But no matter what your feelings on pageants may be (mine are mostly that it's a little unfair that only earth competes in Miss Universe), congratulations are certainly in order to all involved. Hopefully it'll happen a little more smoothly next time!
