Lilith Fair Pulls in 500K for Women's and Environmental Charities!

After wrapping up earlier this month, the resurrected Lilith Fair tour, headlined by Sarah McLachlan, earned $500,000 for charitable organizations. Although criticized for failing to fill venues to capacity, the 23-city, women-only tour did manage to contribute $200,000 to local women’s charities in each of the markets it visited, along with $300,000 to the I4C campaign, which designated four social and environmental enterprises for donations.

“Lilith 2010 was an amazing experience for me on so many levels,” McLachlan said in a statement. “It felt so great to be back out on the road and sharing the stage with so many talented women. For me, Lilith has always represented a sense of community, and that's the greatest thing I take away from these shows."

There are plans for a Taste of Lilith mini-tour in Australia and possibly other overseas locales.
