I’m thinking the same thing you are: How on earth will I survive four months without Glee?
Wednesday night’s fall finale of Glee was so great that the next four months might suck without it. And between the sheer enthusiasm the finale left me with, having newly downloaded Glee Soundtrack: Volume 2 playing in the background and news that Broadway diva Idina Menzel will be joining the show, it’s safe to say I have Gleeked out brain right now.
Listening to how great and fun the New Directions' cover of Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You” is it’s hard to not be wowed at the similarity of Lea Michele’s (Rachel) strong, striking voice to Clarkson’s. They belong together, dontcha think? Forever united … hopefully on Glee when the Fox hit returns in April?
Considering the musical sensation’s casting department seems to have its finger on the pulse of its fans, taking the call for Menzel to join the show to heart — although not as Rachel’s mom — maybe the time is now to begin a campaign for our favorite singers and actresses.
So how else can the show that’s become appointment viewing in the DVR age grant fans’ wishes? Which singers and actresses would you like to see walk McKinley High’s halls?
What about Jane Lynch? Sue Sylvester has vowed to destroy Will, and what better way could she really take a stab at him than singing?

The little we do know about what’s in store for next season is that there will be an episode comprised entirely of all Madonna tunes. How incredible would it be to get the Material Girl herself in a cameo? I can’t even begin to think of the possibilities! Then again, Will has to have musical genes, so is the Queen of Pop too old to play Will’s mom?
In addition, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dollhouse creator Joss Whedon will be directing an episode come spring and the mastermind behind the musical Web Emmy winner Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog has a loyal family of acting talent to draw upon. Felicia Day could pass for a student, right?
Or what about Enchanted’s Amy Adams as Emma’s sister? We know she can sing …
And while we’re compiling a casting list, why not add another musical legend to the mix? Noah “Puck” Puckerman has to have a good Jewish uncle, right? I hear Neil Diamond is a fan since he signed off on the use of “Sweet Caroline.”
So who says you can’t always get what you want?! Let’s hear it, who do you want to see on Glee?
