SheWired's Top 10 Reasons to Tune In!

SheWired's Top 10 Reasons to Tune In!

Check out which gorgeous lady SheWired readers voted in as the queen of our October Top 10 Reasons to Tune In List!

This October, SheWired.com premiered its Top 10 Women We Love list. And we started off by diving right into the fall television season, which is jam packed with gorgeous women, including new faces and some small screen veterans.

It’s a good time to be a hot doc, smokin’ cop or and FBI agent on the tube these days. From Fringe’s Anna Torv to Sarah Shahi packing heat on Life to Olivia Wilde and Sara Ramirez as smart, sexy and girl-on-girl curious doctors on House and Grey’s Anatomy, the fall season offers up plenty of big-brained eye candy for your viewing pleasure. With all the stethoscope and handcuff bearing babes, we had to throw in darling funny ladies Tina Fey and Kristin Chenoweth just to keep things balanced.

SheWired’s readers voted by the thousands and here is the definitive list of the Top 10 Reasons to Tune In. The results just might surprise you... or not.

10. Rose Byrne

This raven-haired Aussie landed a Golden Globe for squaring off against Glenn Close in the wildly addictive legal drama Damages. Rose Byrne and her character Ellen Parson’s are back this November to do battle with the inimitable Ms. Close and cutthroat attorney Patty Hewes. The former face of Max Factor, Byrne also honed her acting chops in Sophia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, Danny Boyle’s sci-fi flick Sunshine and in the modern zombie bloodbath 28 Weeks Later.

9. Michaela McManus

The latest in a string of hot-ass Law and Order and its incarnations District Attorneys, Michaela McManus has joined the cast of Law and Order: SVU as the latest, upstart DA with a feminist / social activism bent, Kim Grayleck. Last season Michaela turned heads on One Tree Hill and now her heels and skirt suits pair off against Mariska Hargitay’s tight top and leather jacket

8. Sydney Tamiia Poitier

The daughter of Oscar winner and legendary screen actor Sydney Poitier, Sydney Tamiia raised eyebrows last spring when she co-starred in the made-for-TV movie of Knight Rider by playing a -- gasp -- hot bisexual cop. Hey, if they’re going to introduce a character by having her kick last night’s surfer chick hook-up out of bed, where do we sign on?

7. Parminder Nagra

From Bend it Like Beckham’s cutie pie kicker and Keira Knightley’s BFF in that film to Maura Tierney’s Abby’s BFF on ER, the Leicester, England native is slated to become the hottest doc on the ER block once Maura leaves this fall. But we’re still gunning for a little Neela on Abby action before that happens.

6. Anna Torv

J.J. Abrams made us fall in love with ass-kicking Jennifer Garner, so it stands to reason he could do the same for Aussie beauty Anna Torv, who stars as an ass-kicking FBI agent in his latest series Fringe. Added bonus: It doesn’t hurt that she graduated from the same school as Cate Blanchett.

5. Sara Ramirez

A Broadway baby -- this one for Spamalot -- to a Grey’s Anatomy doc who could depress just about any tongue at Seattle Grace and beyond, big-piped Sara Ramirez’s Callie stopped the presses when she planted a big, long kiss on Brooke Smith’s Dr. Erica Hahn. And it's just getting steamier. Stay tuned for more on that girl on girl weekly on Grey’s.

4. Olivia Wilde

Hospitals are the place to be for girl on girl this season and Fox’s House is no exception -- fingers crossed. The stunning Olivia Wilde plays the hot-shot young, bisexual doc “Thirteen.” Here’s hoping House goes the way of Grey’s Anatomy and hooks Olivia up with her scrub-sporting co-star, Lisa Edelstein’s Cuddy. An OC alum, Olivia made waves a few years ago locking lips with Mischa Barton on that show.

3. Sarah Shahi

I'll

From The L Word’s fiery Latina Carmen de la Pica Morales to Life’s baby cop -- modeled in the Mariska Hargitay / Olivia Benson tight top, leather jacket, packing heat mold -- Dani Reese. The pragmatist to co-star Damian Lewis’ Charlie Crews, Shahi’s one smart, hot reason to invest in DVR and pause and rewind.

2. Kristen Chenoweth

A Broadway belter in Wicked turned film and television diva, Kristin Chenoweth’s a friend to her gays and lesbians. The adorable, diminutive Chenoweth locked lips on screen with Annette Bening in Running With Scissors before landing the role of Olive Snook the hot-ass pie maker on Pushing Daisies.

1. Tina Fey

Arguably the hottest nerd on the planet, multiple Emmy winner, Tina Fey’s created a furor on television and the Web. Not only has her brainchild 30 Rock garnered critical acclaim, and a slew of awards, but Fey’s impersonation of Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin, is a spot-on, break-out success that’s both funny and disturbingly sexy. If that’s not enough to love Tina, she and her pal Amy Poehler topped the box office last spring in Baby Mama.

Don't forget to vote on our November Women We Love Top Ten and we'll reveal your top picks on December 1st!
