'Showgirls 2': Where's Gina?

The creators of Showgirls have decided to write the sequel, Showgirls: Story of Hope. The sequel centers on the original's minor character Hope played by model/actress Rena Riffel. The original Showgirls was great and I don't mean the acting, but those of us who remember Elizabeth Berkley (Saved by the Bell) and Gina Gershon (Face/Off and my vivid imagination) understand the complexities of the rewind and pause buttons on a low-end DVD player -- for the pseudo lesbian kiss of course!

Joblo reported that the creators behind the mastermind of Showgirls have decided it was time to bless the world with a second act and write the sequel, appropriately titled Showgirls: Story of Hope. Personally, and I think I speak for all lesbians, I hope Gina Gershon is in this one!

It was reported that the fanciful sequel centers on the original's minor character Hope played by model/actress Rena Riffel. Those of us that saw the movie probably assumed that Rena had gained a brain and quit the biz, but oh no people, she's comin' back for more.

The original 1995 Showgirls was great and I don't mean the acting, but those of us who remember Elizabeth Berkley (Saved by the Bell) and Gershon (Face/Off and my vivid imagination) understand the complexities of the rewind and pause buttons on a crappy DVD player.

Apparently, the brilliant (okay, that's a stretch) writer/director Marc Vorlander has been developing the follow-up to the porn flick-I mean, film-and somehow managed to raise $25M for the picture. All of this aside, if Gina is not on board, I will not even rent the video. I'm just being honest, people.

The project is set to shoot in Frankfurt is about "a stripper who died from a dose of contaminated cocaine. Her brother comes to Frankfurt to find the responsible and revenge."

Gershon involved in a random unscripted sex scene? Umm, ok. Can I donate to this film (I can't believe I just called it that again) in order to make that happen?

But I think Gershon is too busy being sued by her own peeps when she "forgot" to pay her agent for helping her land a role in last year's Broadway production of Boeing Boeing. Fortitude LLC claimed it entered into an oral agreement with Gershon in December 2007.

If I entered into an "oral" agreement with Gina, I would give her whatever she wants!

Remember this sizzling scene?
