        Showtime Cancels Toni Collette Series 'United States of Tara'
    After three seasons, Showtime executives have decided to send Tara and all her personalities (T, Buck, Alice and the others) packing. Tara, played by Toni Collette, is a mother who suffers from multiple personalities take over her body when triggered by stress.

Tara, played by Toni Collette, is a mother who suffers from multiple personalities that pop up when triggered by stress.
Collette won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress In a Comedy Series for her role on United States of Tara. The show had a strong following when it debuted in 2009, but it somehow lost its gusto along the way. What would have been the season finale, will now be the series finale.
Tara’s out, but Nurse Jackie will continue making rounds.
