Disney World Leaves Us Speechless With Moment of Silence for Orlando
The Orlando theme park held a 49-second moment of silence for the victims of the Pulse shooting.
Forty-nine seconds of silence. One second for every victim of Orlando's Pulse nightclub shooting. One second may seem like a short amount of time, but it's quite the feat when you consider the location: Disney World.
An impromptu vigil sprung up in the Orlando theme park over the weekend. And while the vigil wasn't officially organized by Disney, from the sounds of it, they certainly were throwing their support behind it.
Between the moment of silence, the rainbow-lit castle and the rainbow Mickey pins passed out, it's comforting to know the Happiest Place on Earth mourns with us — and is looking forward to the magical day when all this hate is a thing of the past.
