Fashion Emergency! Celeb Stylist Law Roach Announces Sudden Retirement
Law Roach’s clients include Zendaya, Celine Dion, and Ariana Grande, among others.
Celebrity stylist and former Legendary judge Law Roach has announced that he’s retiring from the fashion industry… and we’re all in shambles.
Best known for turning Celine Dion and Zendaya into modern-day fashion icons, as well as working with the likes of Ariana Grande and Tom Holland, Roach is one of the most successful fashion stylists in the business. Unfortunately, Roach shared a new Instagram post on Tuesday, March 14 that announces his imminent – and extremely sudden – retirement.
“My Cup is empty,” Roach wrote in the Instagram post. “Thank you to everyone who’ve supported me and my career over the years. Every person that trusted me with their image, I’m so grateful for you all.”
He concluded, “If this business was just about the clothes, I would do it for the rest of my life. But, unfortunately, it’s not! The politics, the lies, and false narratives finally got me! You win… I’m out.”
The comments section of Roach’s post is filled with all sorts of responses from LGBTQ+ celebrities. Shea Couleé wrote, “Sorry. I’m not accepting this.” Lauren Jauregui replied, “We’re gonna miss youuuuu.” Brad Goreski commented, “Don’t do it, Law. We need you!” Brooke Lynn Hytes wrote, “Do what you need but PLEASE come back to us one day. You are maestro.”
Sean Bankhead wrote, “…and I totally get it. Legend!” The Vixen commented, “You ARE THE INDUSTRY.” Derek Frazier responded, “Noooo, don’t let them win! You are amazing!” Niecy Nash replied, “We all come or go on our OWN terms. If you’re done because you want your next role, blessings to you… If you’re having a ‘moment,’ keep your main character energy! Either way: you got this!”
It’s clear that everyone wants to respect Roach’s decision if this is a matter of taking care of his mental health, or if he’s just ready to move on to a new career path. Alas, it’s also safe to say that many people are sad about Roach’s retirement given his massive contributions and overall impact to the world of fashion.
