Ever since Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) told Finn (John Boyega) to keep his jacket ("It suits you.") in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, fans have become obsessed with the idea of the two men as a couple.

In a recent interview, Boyega addresses the "bromance" and blames his costar for the speculation.

"I think that Oscar is always looking at me with love in his eyes, and I guess that the fans saw it," he told ComicBook.com. "And then they realized that either he needs to chill or come out."

While the stars and creators might be aware of the fan-fueled love affair, we have no idea if they will actually allow their homoerotic relationship to grow into something more for The Last Jedi or following movies. The Star Wars franchise has yet to feature an LGBTQ relationship on screen.

Boyega certainly understands the importance of diversity. "There definitely is that responsibility, but more the responsibility to hire those from those experiences to share their creative light, that’s the pivotal thing," he explained. "Because if you just hire the same sort of people you’re just getting the same sort of film. It’s not wrong, but then there’s a lack of variety."

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits movie theaters on December 15, 2017.
