Kristen Stewart Is Gonna Star in a 'Charlie's Angels' Reboot

And Elizabeth Banks is set to direct!!

Charlie's Angels is about to get a whole lot gayer. 

Kristen Stewart is set to start in an upcoming reboot, which will be directed by Elizabeth Banks, who will play Bosley, the buffer between the secretive Charlie Townsend who controls the Angels, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film will center around the next generation of Angels, whose agency has expanded to a global security and intelligence service.

Alongside Stewart, will be Naomi Scott, who will likely be a household name by the 2019 premiere – she's about to break through with a star-making role as Jasmine in the upcoming Aladdin remake. Previously she was in the 2017 Power Rangers live-action filmAmong them will be newcomer Ella Balinska. 

"Charlie's Angels, for me, is one of the original brands to celebrate the empowered woman since its debut in the '70s," Banks expressed in a statement. "This film honors the legacy of Charles Townsend and his agency while introducing a new era of modern and global Angels. I couldn't be more excited to work with Kristen, Naomi and Ella to bring this chapter to fans around the world."

Banks was heavily involved in the development of the film, collaborating with screenwriters Craig Mazin, Semi Chellas, and Jay Basu. She's already proven her chops as a director after helming the hit Pitch Perfect 2.
