Rubber cancer awareness bracelets are causing a stir in schools around the country. The “I Love Boobies” breast cancer awareness bracelets have caused heated debates at schools in California, Colorado, Idaho, Florida, Wisconsin and most recently, South Dakota. Baltic High School in South Dakota recently became the latest school to ban the bracelets.
Keep A Breast Foundation, a non-profit organization that seeks to increase breast cancer awareness among young people, created the awareness bracelets. The accessory sells for about $4, which benefits the foundation’s programs.
The bracelets were designed to spark discussions that may not have otherwise been brought up, potentially saving someone’s life.
