Bill O'Reilly Blasts New York Times for Pushing Agenda with Gay Marriage Coverage

Bill O’Reilly agrees with a critic who says The New York Times is on the decline, specifically, according to the Fox News anchor, because of its coverage of “causes” like marriage equality. O’Reilly said, “The gay rights, gay marriage, they do a story a day on that. Legalization of narcotics, they’re big on that. So they’re using their pages not to report the news, but to push causes that they think should be mainstream.”

Bill O’Reilly agrees with a critic who says The New York Times is on the decline, specifically, according to the Fox News anchor, because of its coverage of “causes” like marriage equality.

Mediaite reports on a Factor Follow-Up segment Monday night between O’Reilly and William McGowan, the author of a new book that claims the Times has been too focused on opinion, and not objective reporting.

“Much more soft news, much more vapid consumerism,” said McGowan, according to Mediaite. “Style, that kind of stuff. And that, in some ways, is a back door towards counter-culture values. The celebration of the transgressive over the traditional.”

In place of the Times, O’Reilly recommended The Wall Street Journal, which is owned by News Corporation, the same company that owns his employer, Fox News.
