We’re just over here gagging over Kim Petras’ new music video.
On Tuesday, May 2, the German popstar dropped the music video for her latest single, “Alone,” featuring the one and only Nicki Minaj. The song samples the beat from “Better Off Alone” by Alice Deejay, which was a huge hit song during its release in 1999.
In the video, Petras is once again acting “Unholy” – showing lots and lots of skin and dancing to a pretty sensual choreography. This is pretty groundbreaking for an out trans artist who is now paving her way into the mainstream pop industry. The music video looks gorgeous, and both Petras and Minaj are giving us all the face, looks, and fierceness that we needed!

Directed by Arrad, this music video for “Alone” is yet another step from Petras as she reaches global superstardom. In fact, she attended the 2023 Met Gala a day before releasing the video, on a night that was honoring the late great fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.
Overall, 2022 and 2023 have been landmark years for Petras as she won her first-ever Grammy Award, performed at the Grammys ceremony, reached the no. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and is quickly becoming a household name around the world.
