Last fall, Warner Bros announced their upcoming title MultiVersus, a free-to-play multiplayer video game where users will choose their favorite characters from iconic franchises like Scooby-Doo, Game of Thrones, Steven Universe, and more to duel in an epic showdown.

So far, confirmed characters include Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Shaggy, Bugs Bunny, Arya Stark from Game of Thrones, Jake the Dog and Finn the Human from Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Garnet, Tom and Jerry, and Reindog, an original MultiVersus character. Expect more announcements and reveals closer to the 2022 release date.

"MultiVersus is a dream project for our team at Player First Games, and we're excited to officially reveal the game," said co-founder and game director Tony Huynh in a press release. "We've built MultiVersus from the ground up to be a cooperative, social game that embraces teamwork and strategy. We're also focused on providing first class online gameplay through dedicated server-based rollback netcode so that friends and rivals can enjoy a seamless competitive experience as they duke it out with our diverse roster of characters."

You can duke it out in 1v1, 2v2, and 4-player free-for-all matches. Stages are themed around characters in the game, including the Batcave, and Jake and Finn's Treefort. MultiVersus is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

MultiVesus will debut this July. Watch the trailer below:
