Martha Wash and Big Freedia headlined, so you know we were there.
As part of Sacramento Pride—hosted by the Sacramento LGBT Community Center, a statewide group led by Equality California—the California Endowment, along with a local coalition of partners led a parade through Downtown Sacramento on Sunday, June 10 to #RiseUpAsOne for equality and to promote #Vote! The coalition was made up of a cross section of LGBTQ folks, healthcare advocates, immigration and women rights groups, and many others, to unite and celebrate equality together. Martha Wash and Big Freedia headlined the festival attended by 17,000 people! The parade celebrated diversity and commemorated the Stonewall riots that ignited the modern LGBTQ rights movement.
