Twitter Is Obsessed with Janelle Monáe’s Rainbow Dress

Janelle Monáe has proven time and time again that she is the next queer icon. Not only is she a fiercely talented musician, Monáe is also an outspoken activist for marginalized groups, speaking up against racism, sexism, and queerphobia.

Yesterday, two months after having come out as queer and pansexual in a Rolling Stone profile, Monáe wore a beautiful, ruffled rainbow dress to the BET awards this past weekend, perfectly coinciding with Pride Month. The singer accessorized with a black hat and rainbow crystal-studded clutch.
