Several members of the cast of Orange is the New Black were featured on Conan yesterday, and the momentousness of the getting the group back together was not lost on the show. In fact, we got an entire episode chock-full of interviews, behind-the-scenes revelations, and even some "new" OITNB footage. We've got the highlights below, starting with Conan's trip to hair and makeup featuring his new hairdresser, Sophia. Also, you've just got to love Conan's band's new outfits.
Unsurprisingly, Conan's monologue is riddled with clever OITNB references. He's also added some updated (and very familiar) credits that we suggest he keep in the future.
Before the cast makes an appearance, Conan takes to the audience of "hardened criminals" to reveal their various crimes. It won't take you long to realize that he's kidding about bussing the perps in, but those accusations are pretty damn accurate.
First up, we have Uzo Aduba and Taylor Schilling discussing the intense choreography for their fight scene, and the importance of not "hitting the money." Jason Biggs also jumps in to talk about his "Prison Envy," and, although we'd never agree in real life, when it comes to OITNB, we totally understand.
Watch Uzo teach Conan how to make crazy eyes on the next page...
Ever wanted to learn how to get Crazy Eyes for yourself? Now you can, with Uzo Aduba's adorable tutorital!
Prepare to love Kate Mulgrew a whole lot more (her look can either liberate or kill), as she recounts the terrible tale of Conan forcing her to do an Irish jig 15 years ago. Don't worry, there are flashback clips, and in her classic 'Red' accent, she finally gets her revenge by having Conan do the dance himself.
Laverne Cox's twin brother gets mistaken for her and Lea Delaria gives Natasha Lyonne lesbian sex tips on the next page...
Laverne Cox discusses getting mistaken for her twin brother, who played Sophia pre-transition, and his entertainingly surprising reaction.
What better way to finish up this interview extravaganza than with Lea DeLaria telling us all about teaching Natasha Lyonne about lesbian sex? Her "family show" explanation is priceless (and far too catchy). Have we mentioned how much we love the Orange is the New Black cast lately?
