Ali Liebert to Play White Canary's Love Interest on DC's Legends of Tomorrow

Ali Liebert continues to guest-date her way through our favorite TV shows with Legends of Tomorrow.

Ali Liebert is everywhere. She broke our hearts as closeted 1940s factory worker Betty in Bomb Girls, got down and dirty with Lauren on Lost Girl, and has roughly about a million IMDB credits guaranteeing you've seen her at least a few more times. She's also opened up about being attracted to women, so there's yet another reason to love this crush-worthy Canadian (and for real, how cute are she and her girlfriend?). Now, according to Entertainment Weekly, Ali will be able to add The CW's Arrow spin-off DC's Legends of Tomorrow to her resume, where she'll be playing Sara Lance's love interest from the 1950s. Because apparently forbidden love in the 1950s is really big right now (here's looking at you, Carol).

It's basically not even a spoiler anymore to point out that on Arrow Sara Lance has risen from the dead way more times than anyone expected her to, but hey, Ali Liebert's a pretty great person to greet you from the grave. The main premise of the show features DC superheroes including White Canary, Captain Cold, The Atom, and Hawkgirl time traveling all over the place to save the world. Ali will play Lindsay Carlisle, a "softspoken, intelligent lady who is the ideal picture of 1950s womanhood" struggling with her secret lesbianism. She falls for Sara Lance, who's been through hell and isn't sure she's ready to be in a relationship. Somehow, we have a feeling those attractions won't go totally unacted upon. Legends of Tomorrow premieres January 21st on The CW, so we'll just have to wait a bit to find out what happens.
