18 Celebrities We Wish Would Join Our Team
brianasalese

Not trying to change any person's sexual orientation, just say we'd welcome you with open, more likely applauding arms.

1. Jennifer Lawrence

Playing Katniss in the Hunger Games was just the beginning for Jennifer Lawrence because by now, everyone, literally everyone, has fallen in love with her. Gay men and women included. She's stunningly beautiful, f*cking hilarious, and she knows how to keep it real.

2. Kristen Stewart

Despite the fact that the gay rumors circling KStew right now are a bit intrusive, queer women have been rejoicing everywhere. Not just because we can see her style changing (and likely reflecting more who Kristen is), but also, because that means for those who live in LA, the potential to fall in love with her is real. Very real.

3. Shailene Woodley

It could be that ever since falling for the YA book series Divergent, falling for Shailene Woodley was inevitable, but there are so many other qualities that make her crushable. She actually cut her hair for her movie role in Insurgent, she intentionally only wears used clothing and she's openly said her sexuality is fluid.

4. Emma Watson

There may seem to be a book-to-movie theme brewing here, but Emma Watson is such a great role model and beautiful person, it would be rude not to include her on our "join the team" wish list. She was appointed the UN Women Goodwill Ambassador last year for goodness sake, and she's an outpoken feminist. She's a catch. Plus, she's Hermione Granger.

5. Zoë Kravitz

The daughter of Lenny Kravitz, Zoë, is easily one of the hottest—a triple threat even. As an actress (X-Men, Divergent), singer (Elevator Fight and Lolawolf) and model (Elle, Vera Wang & Alexander Wang), Zoë is constantly giving women reasons to oogle—be it in tight movie costumes, tight stage outfits, or tight designer garb.

6. Cara Delevingne

Linked to Michelle Rodriguez last year, Cara has been rather elusive about her sexuality (which again, is totally fine). Although she hasn't explicitly made her love for women known, Cara has spoken out on behalf of LGBT rights. She's also an adamant basketball fan. She'd fit right in.

7. Shay Mitchell

As the lesbian character on Pretty Little Liars, Shay has quickly become an LGBT icon, not only for the younger tween audience ABC Family caters to, but for all of us. She's gorgeous, dresses well, is a girl's girl, and she's said she's proud to be playing a lesbian. She's even been quoted as saying she likes kissing girls on screen because they smell good and have lip balm.

8. Greta Gerwig

Frances Ha, the film Greta co-wrote and starred in as the aloof modern dancer was the be-all/end-all for lesbians around the world. Her charm, wit, and knack for mumblecore cinema have made her SUCH a catch. It's truly difficult not to want to stalk her every move online waiting for the day she comes out with a girlfriend. *sigh*

9. Jemima Kirke

If you haven't already fallen for Jessa on GIRLS, we simply have no comment. Yes, Jessa may be an addict, but her artistic vibe is drawn from Jemima's personality and so much of Jessa's charm is Jemima shining through. Her paintings, long mermaid hair, and sense of style aren't easy to ignore.

10. Karen O

Yeah Yeah Yeahs front woman Karen O has and always will be the sexiest woman of the alternative rock revival. Her androgynous sex appeal and knack for wigging out on stage are what makes Karen O tick, so it's no wonder she has such a queer following. If only you weren't married Karen O. If only.

11. Jenny Lewis

Jenny Lewis' low voice and guitar pop jams are what had us all swooning over her over a decade ago and now her pastel rainbow suit she's been donning on the Voyager tour still has us weak in the knees.

12. Danielle Haim

The sister band Haim has made waves in the music world recently, mostly in part to Danielle's cool alto voice and androgynous style sense. While her sisters wear skirts and lipstick, Danielle rocks tailored suits. And as the front woman, it's hard not to stare.

13. Maisie Williams

Perhaps a bit too young to call out as a woman we would hope to join our team, Maisie plays such a badass tomboy Arya Stark on Game of Thrones, she just had to make the list. Sure she's 17, but she's well aware that her spitfire role has quite the gay following.

14. Rita Volk

It was a matter of time before MTV decided to run a scripted show about a questioning teen, and luckily Faking It really rules. Rita Volk plays Amy, the one who actually ends up dating women. Even if it's not true of the actress it doesn't stop a girl from wishing it to be true.

15. Lena Headey

She's married to a man in real life, but this star of Imagine Me and You has a distinctly queer girl following. Presently starring as the horrible Cersei Lannister on Game of Thrones, Lena has never had more appeal.

16. Olivia Munn

She stole our hearts way before The Newsroom but her role as Sloan Sabbith, the highly intelligent financial analyst that has trouble with love, was what set us all over the edge. Olivia speaks fluent Japanese, having learned while living there. And women who speak multiple languages are just. plain. hot.

17. Rihanna

It should go without saying that Rihanna is at the top of everyone's "allowed to cheat" list (for all sexualities), but we're declaring it right now just in case. Rihanna, everyone is obsessed with you, and if you decided to come out tomorrow, you'd break the internet.

18. Rosario Dawson

Known for choosing movies with rougher and grittier female leads, Rosario Dawson concludes the list of women we wish would join our team. Mostly due to her astute acting talent (Sin City, Rent, Clerks II and Deathproof), Rosario also makes the list for being a gorgeous example of continuing to make smart, interesting choices in her career.
