Sandrine Holt and Agnes Bruckner Cast as Lesbian Couple in A&E's New Show "The Returned"

"The Returned," an American version of a popular French show, has cast two leading ladies to play the lesbian couple.

An American version of the critically-acclaimed French show Les Revenants is being produced by Lost and Bates Motel producer Carlton Cuse. And Sandrine Holt and Agnes Bruckner have been cast as a lesbian couple in the 10-episode A&E series!

Bruckner will play Laure, while Holt will take on the role of Julie, according to Spoiler TV.

You may remember Holt from her role as the scheming and slightly abusive Catherine Rothberg on The L Word. Meanwhile, Bruckner starred opposite Madeline Zima in out director Jamie Babbit’s Highsmithian Breaking the Girls, which played the festival circuit last year.

“The Returned” is set in a small American town that starts to experience some odd, supernatural incidents. According to Deadline, the town and the people are challeneged emotionally and physically when locals who have been long dead begin to reappear in the little town.

Frankly, we just can't wait to see these two together!
