While the premiere episode of Fashion Star was rough for lesbian designer Kara Laricks, she proved she is anything but a “one trick pony,” to the mentors and buyers on the second episode titled “Who’s Your Customer,” with her stellar Draped Tie Dress designs.
Both H&M and Saks thought her dress designs were so great that they had a bidding war to have the dresses available in their stores. H&M’s starting bid was $80,000, while Saks offered $90,000. The two buyers went back and forth until Saks ended up purchasing Kara’s designs for $110,000!

The Plaid Bow-Back Shift Dress can be purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue stores, or online from Saks website.
