Emmy winner and all-around funny woman Jane Lynch delivered the commencement address at Smith College this past Sunday. The Glee star praised the graduating class of 2012 calling them an “elite and powerful group of game-changing women.”

An honorary degree recipient of the college, Lynch does have special insight into the “Smithie” woman, she told the crowd. Her wife Lara Embry graduated from the prestigious  Seven Sisters' college in 1991. And in 2010 Lynch and Embry married in Smith's hometown of Northampton, Mass. in 2010.

“I feel I know quite a bit about Smith Women because I married one,” Lynch said. “I know from living with Lara, class of 91, and loving Lara, class of 91, that the experience of attending this fabulous college is simply transformative.”

Playing on her insider knowledge of Smith women Lynch teased the graduating class saying, “You are fiercely independent, you are wickedly smart, trailblazing, uber-confident and shockingly entitled. Like I told you, I live with one of you!”
