This Gay Cottonelle Commercial Is Triggering Homophobes

Who knew a toilet paper ad could be so controversial...

Queer on-screen representation has come a long way in the past few decades. While there's still a long way to go, you can find gay storylines in your fave TV shows, movies, comics, books, video games, and now, thanks to Cottonelle, toilet papers commercials!

Unfortunately, whenever us gays get even the smallest amount of media representation, the homophobic trolls of the world come out of their mother's basements and complaing about it on the internet. Luckily, though, the Cottenelle brand Twitter account stood firm in their decision to make their marketing more inclusive.

If the idea of seeing a gay couple represented in a 15 second commercial makes you seethe with homophobic rage, guess what?
