11 Times Newly Out Miss Spain Patricia Yurena Rodríguez Made Our Jaws Drop

The Instagram post heard round the world inspired us to research Miss Spain a bit further.

Last week 24-year-old Patricia Yurena Rodríguez, winner of Miss Spain in both 2008 and 2013, came out as lesbian through an Instagram post, making her the first openly lesbian beauty queen associated with the Miss Universe world. The picture, captioned "Romeo and Juliet" shows Rodríguez in an intimate moment with girlfriend Vanesa Klein, a Spanish DJ and singer. Patricia’s post inspired us to see what other news there was out there about her, and by news (at least in this post), we mean photos. Here are 11 Times Patricia Yurena Rodriguez Made Our Jaws Drop.

The picture heard round the world...

At the Mercedes Benz Fashion Show in October of 2013.

Glasses! GAH!

Another look at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Show.

Presented without comment.

A throwback to 2008. This picture has something to do with picking a team for soccer. Does it matter?

If that wall could talk...

Awaiting judges' decision with Gabriela Isler at the Miss Universe Pageant in 2013.

Paradise indeed.
