Ding!

Jewels Sparkles shimmered ever since she entered the werkroom on season 17 of RuPaul's Drag Race. Hailing from Tampa, Florida, this queen is ready to bring plenty of sparkle to this Friday's epic finale.

"If you told me five years ago this was happening, I wouldn't believe it. This is so crazy. I'm on cloud nine! It has been such an amazing season," Sparkles tells PRIDE.

Sparkles started the competition strong by lip-synching for the win on the very first episode and eventually won two maxi challenges by the end of the season.

"I'm so proud of myself for pushing through everything and making it to the end. I'm so proud of my journey on the show. If you believe in yourself, that's all that matters. You don't need the approval from other people. You don't need anything else, just your own resilience."

Although Sparkles has a decent track record heading into the finale, the star also found herself in quite a few juicy fights throughout the season. She sent home her frenemy Arrietty after a very dramatic comedy roast challenge and even clashed with Onya Nurve during the first design challenge over stolen trim.

However, her personal favorite feud of the season happened between Nurve and Lexi Love during the second design challenge when Nurve accidentally sabotaged Love's outfit. In fact, the fight got so bad that production had to shut down for a few hours.

"The journey was a little bit of a rollercoaster. We had our ups. We had our downs [and] our robberies both metaphorically and physically. I personally loved watching spray paint gate. That one for me was very enjoyable! I got to sit back, relax and watch the other girls fight for once. I wasn't involved. It was amazing!"

RuPaul's Drag Race airs Friday nights on MTV. To see the full interview with Jewels Sparkles, check out the video at the top of the page.
