Pack your bags, fam. We're going to Gay Hell.

Hell, Michigan has always been an amusing tourist spot. They cater to people who want to get married in the fiery pits of Hell, you can buy the opportunity to be mayor of Hell for a day — hell, even their website is a cheeky GoToHellMI.com.

But even Hell needs a shake-up now and then, which, in this case, comes in the form of new ownership.

YouTuber Elijah Daniel reportedly bought the entire town yesterday, with the purpose of renaming it Gay Hell.

Daniel claims the purchase is in protest of President Trump’s ban on US embassies flying pride flags during Pride Month. And as such, he says the only flags allowed to fly in his new town are pride flags.

(Daniel admitted he flag thing is a joke, flags for everyone! Because that’s freedom.)

This isn’t the first time Daniel has used Hell — excuse me, GAY Hell — as a statement against Trump. Back in 2017, he took advantage of their Mayor-for-a-Day program and banned heterosexuality.

Part of his proclamation demanded that any heterosexuals who did not participate in heterosexual reparation therapy would be required to wear both a scarlet letter “H” and cargo shorts.

He was impeached immediately.

But now, as owner (albeit likely temporary), he has been able to make an even bigger statement. And the gays and our hellish allies are reacting appropriately.

We’re not sure how long Daniel will hold onto the city, but it’s definitely time to pack up and make a visit! And even if it goes back to its original name in the near future, we’re all basically still living in Gay Hell as it is…at least until the next election.
